Loopr is our vision to create a digital social experience that takes all the great features of social networking. Loopr helps you connect with friends and find things to do, no matter where you are.
We know that’s a tall order. This is why we’ve been working hard to conceptualize and build such an app.
So how do we do it?
Every post on Loopr is event related. With Loopr, you can create events for your schedule:
Private events - where other Loopr users need to be invited
Friends events - where all of your Loopr friends are automatically invited
Public events - where your event can be discovered/viewed by any Loopr user
The idea is that every event becomes its own repository for both media posted at/around the event as
well as a dedicated chat (so you don’t have to open another group chat or spam your existing group
chat with event related posts).
We hate all the clutter in our chat groups. We hate missing things that are happening because the
announcements get buried in other chat. With Loopr, we are enabling you to declutter your chat
groups in WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage, Telegram, etc… Let those be for chatting about news, advice or
random messaging. Let Loopr be the place to chat about the yoga class you are going to, the upcoming
concert, or the party you want to throw. With Loopr, you’ll easily recall memories, review
attendance, and reference important details long after the event is finished without having to
search multiple platforms for where those pics were posted.
You can also discover public events and follow your favorite businesses on Loopr so that you never
have to miss a special night or deal that is buried in WhatsApp messages.
Your “Schedule” has different tabs:
My Schedule - all of your current and upcoming events
Maybe - all current and upcoming events that you RSVP’d “Maybe” to
Friends - all events posted by your friends that they have either invited you to, or opened for
you to join
Following - all events posted by businesses that you follow
Past - all events that you have attended
Your Home Feed is where you scroll through what public events your friends are attending as well as
events they have posted which are open to you. All your friends’ media that they post to events
(advanced media posting privacy features coming soon) also appear on your home feed as commentable
photos/Loops.
Businesses don’t have a home feed (because that would be weird). Instead, Business Pages get a
dashboard with analytics on their events:
- - Media posted at their events
-
- - Number of attendees
-
- - Event views
-
- - Trends
-
- - Types of event posts
-
- - Similar types of events in your area
-
Much more…
All in all, we figure that social media should help you be more social. Enjoy the platform, we’ll be
posting a lot more here to discuss the different features and ways that you can use Loopr to
schedule with friends, boost attendance to your events or discover something fun to do. Let us know
what you think! You may always send an email to feedback@loopr.me.
Until next time,
The Loopr Team
